AIR-LAYER CLONING
Air-Layering is a form of cloning that will allow you to take cuttings from woody plants or trees. It is an in-expensive and rather easy way to turn one great fruit tree into many of the same fruit trees. This method is not harmful to your trees or plants, and will not be noticed by them. Instead of pruning off those branches that you don't want, Air-Layer them instead. This method might also require some practice until you get the hang of it. In this example, we are using a Calamandrin Lime tree.
For this task you will need some supplies:
- Water
- 5 gal bucket for mixing
- Root toner
- Fertilizer
- Plastic wrap
- String
- Sphagnum moss or Peat moss
- Razor blade
- A GOOD HEALTHY TREE
