Make Two Cuts Around The Trunk Previous | Home | Next Select a branch of the tree you wish to make cutting of. The branch should be around 3/8" in diameter minimum. With a razor, make two cuts in the stock, only cutting as deep as the cambium layer. The cuts should be about 1 - 2 inches apart with a node between them.
